Martin's Corner
About This Spot
Stepping into Martin’s Corner, you’re greeted by a familiar warmth that instantly settles the spirit. Nestled in the heart of Pilsen, this modest bar and grill carries the steady, unhurried rhythm of a true neighborhood spot—where time feels a little slower, conversations come easy, and laughter slips naturally between clinking glasses.
The atmosphere is approachable and unpretentious, with a lived-in charm that recalls the corner bars that have quietly shaped Chicago’s character over the years. Whether you find yourself perched on a worn stool or tucked into a cozy booth, the space invites you to become part of its ongoing story. It’s a place where regulars and newcomers alike share nods of recognition, and where the behind-the-bar crew quickly becomes a familiar presence.
At Martin’s Corner, the menu acts as a comforting backdrop to the experience rather than the main event. You might come for a bite after a long day and find simple pleasures in a perfectly grilled angus burger, or indulge in crispy, golden cheese sticks alongside a cold, refreshing Michelada. The joy here lies in the unassuming classics served with a genuine touch—that perfect blend of hearty, flavorful food and the relaxed pace of a casual local eatery.
This is a spot where the crowd ebbs and flows with the day’s energy—from teammates gathering after work, to lively weekend visitors soaking up the neighborhood’s spirited vibe. It’s a little rough around the edges, with the honest, no-frills nature of a cash-only place, but that candid authenticity is exactly what roots Martin’s Corner so firmly within the community.
In the end, Martin’s Corner isn’t just a meal or a drink—it’s a place where the everyday feels just a bit richer, framed by the warmth of human connection and the simple joys of shared moments on Chicago’s West Side.

Good local bar, fair prices, cash only. Will definitely be back. Randy was nice and I appreciated his friendly service.

Love this place! I make it a point to stop here whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Great food. Great specials. Great crowd. Plus Cindy the bartender!!! This is the type of corner bar this city was built on.

Good place with cheap but the crowd there is rowdy and ill mannered! Don’t go alone, people will try to start a fight for no reason.

Martin’s Corner is one of those rare neighborhood bars that feels like home the moment you walk through the door. Tucked away in Pilsen, it’s a cash-only spot where the old-school charm hasn’t been lost to time. It’s the kind of bar where conversations flow easily, laughter fills the room, and you quickly realize you’re part of something that feels like family. If you’re looking for a local gem with character, hospitality, and heart, Martin’s Corner is exactly that.

Randomly stopped in after Riot fest. Small neighborhood bar with food. Karen was the bartender/family. Very clean. Definitely a local townie bar. CASH ONLY

Easily the best I’ve had in years, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The prices were great, the food was satisfying, and I’ll definitely be back.
